One Set With RELISH: A Moveable Feast

I was on set with Jessica Harris this past fall where we filmed a series with Moveable Feast for WGBH. We spent the day gathering our meal around the Vineyard and then we cooked together.

Honestly it was the most fun I have had in months. The crew was super fun. Everyone we visited,  gathering our goods for our meal, was over the top jolly- maybe we are just all glad to be out from under COVID for a few hours!

We were all tested with 24 test results so we could be filming without a mask! (Who knew that was possible on MV?)

We visited Truman and Tucker on MV Mycological, who showed off their amazing operation in the hills of Chilmark. They had a solar powered tractor that was just too much! I love mushrooms, but a solar power tractor got my juices flowing!

I just LOVE these guys, they have amazing spirit and they have an amazing product! Yep, you can find them at the Farmer’s Market in West Tisbury!

There was a stop to Grey Barn where Erik shared cheese, dairy and Koginut Squash.  We all ate lunch under the silos. There  is a lot of sitting around and hanging, then hurry up, then wait, when it comes to filming.  (I think my son Oren would have gone into acting- when he was nine he was in a movie and he loved the acting, but the standing around and waiting was not for him) I loved spending time with both Alex and Jessica. It's truly an honor to know both:

Alex just wants to have fun and Jessica just wants to tell stories!

Jessica cooked the most delicious leg of lamb.

I mixed up cocktails, made popovers, green beans  and mushroom squash risotto.  And the sun set over Menemsha as we enjoyed the feast!

We felt that the world was normal again.

It was a jolly good time and great stories were shared by all.
